The List

Below is a list of Churches and Ministries that are affiliated with Word of Faith teaching and doctrine. We are determined to assist as many as we can in identifying those who teach and spread this heresy. Since we are just starting this list more churches/ministries will be added as they are identified. Anyone who knows of any churches/ministries that are WoF and are not listed, we would greatly appreciate letting us know as we will post it.

We are specifically warned in the Bible that the Last Days will be a time of “seducing spirits,” false prophets, ‘lying signs and wonders,’ and that we always need to watch for “angels of light” masquerading as the real thing.  Why does the modern church not take these warnings seriously? Aren’t we living in the very days that the Bible warns about? Right now I need to do something I have never done before. I have never published a list of ministries or movements to watch out for. But this time I have to. This sickness has gone on long enough. I urge you to cut yourself off from the following ministries and their tainted “anointing.”  Even though some of these people say “good things” at times, it is simply not worth having any involvement with them due to the tainted anointing that they endorse or minister in themselves. Here is the list -  written by “Andrew Strom”

We try to be extraordinarily careful in posting churches/ministries.  The purpose of this list is to warn individuals of church/ministries which are involved with or in “The WoF, “NAR,” and the Emergent Church Movement.”  Any  churches/ministries recommended will first be investegated before posted to the list.  If your ministry is listed below, documentation must be submitted confirming you are not in agreement with these movements and thier Doctrine before it can be removed from the list.

A new addition to the list is a PDF of the International Coalition of Apostles.  The I.C.A is the global combined efforts of global apostolic leadership to advance the Kingdom of God on earth.  All on this list is suspect as most if not all are Dominionist.

(1) Todd Bentley.

(2) Rodney Howard Browne – the so-called “Holy Ghost Bartender.”

(3) Rick Joyner or anyone connected with Morningstar Ministries.

(4) John Arnott; any connected with TACF (The “Toronto Blessing”).

(5) Peter Wagner of the ‘New Apostolic Reformation’ who claims to be head of a worldwide network of ‘apostles’ – who publicly endorsed Lakeland and will soon preach at Toronto TACF alongside other “false anointing” advocates.

(5) Mike Bickle and IHOP Kansas City (-I lived nearby for over two years – and know how much they are into all this stuff. Mike Bickle promotes it in his book).

(6) Bob Jones – the Kansas City prophet whose ministry is utterly tainted by it all.

(7) Patricia King and anyone else from ‘Extreme Prophetic.’

(8) John Crowder; anyone connected with “Sloshfest.”

(9) Bill Johnson of Bethel church, Redding – who says some good things but publicly endorsed Lakeland and promotes the “false anointing” very strongly behind the scenes.

(10) Heidi & Rolland Baker of IRIS Ministries – who do good work amongst the poor in Mozambique – but who have also carried and promoted this tainted anointing for years.

(11) Randy Clark, Wes and Stacey Campbell, and other key figures from
the “Toronto blessing.”

(12) The Elijah List – and almost anyone featured on it.

(13) Benny Hinn – The ministry-owned television studio is located in Aliso Viejo, California. The corporate headquarters for Benny Hinn Ministries / World Healing Center Church is located in Grapevine, Texas.

(14) Chuck D. Pierce – Glory of Zion International Ministries

  1. If Nazi Germany (1933-1945), a so-called Christian nation, could be deluded by a charismatic leader such as Adolf Hitler who implemented “the final solution of the Jewish question” wherein some 6 million Jews were culled, what more when bible-believing saints of today hold the LORD GOD hostage to His Word by their legitimate claims upon scripture–if only unwittingly–so that the Lord grants them their hearts desire: so-called anointed apostolic leaders that gradually displace God as Father, King and Teacher. 1 Samuel 8:7 And the Lord said to Samuel, “Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them. 1 John 2:26 These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you. 27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him. The following article written by yours truly is likewise accompanied by an illustration of the Beast of Revelation 13. It is to your discretion should you choose to share this article publicly (with or without the link to a noteworthy article by Lance Goodall of Christian Witness Ministries). Thank you. ~ Larry James

WORD-FAITH PANDEMIC. Here in cosmopolitan Singapore we have our fair share of a different gospel running the gamut of local churches (Galatians 1:6-10; 2 Corinthians 11:4). As a matter of fact I’ve even attended New Creation Church for two and a half years as part of an ecclesiastical study apart from serving. Whilst in the pews of a hyper grace seeker-sensitive church, I’ve heard the sounds of perversity from the horse’s mouth–Joseph Prince himself–and his minions twisting scripture that is sadly regurgitated by mindless shepherds to their sheep at home cell units. With the likes of Word-Faith proponents such as Matt Crouch, Richard Roberts, Kenneth Hagin, Judah Smith, Darlene Z etc. gracing the stage, imagine that after JP’s debut at Osteen’s Lakewood Church in 2011, a home cell leader could actually ask us, “Do you think its ok to adore Ps Prince?” No, that’s not the straw that broke the camel’s back. Imagine the superstitious embrace of the Eucharist and the anointing oil for the miraculous if not grotesque–should one heed their promptings that ply the crude and silly. Furthermore, should one duly discern, JP’s focus on the bane of the Law is all but a distraction and a cop-out from a sincere exegesis of the Gospel and Pauline epistles in its entirety. Just as conjured parallels between Judaism and Islam seem amazing, amazing yet is one who preaches Jesus with a different gospel and misses Him entirely! What more then when the nation boasts of yet another heretic that has some 36,000 sheep under his watchful gaze–Kong Hee of City Harvest Church. Cho Yonggi, Benny Hinn and Phil Pringle are but the few that have hitched this wagon to only God knows where. Isn’t it amazing that God had vouchsafe for the worthless even though all nations before Him are as nothing, and they are counted by Him less than nothing and worthless (Isaiah 40:17)? Should USA be judged, she’s better off alphabetically. Should the scales fall from the eyes of the deluded, they will vomit the filth fed by these hireling shepherds that have crept in unawares to pollute every nook and cranny of the body of Christ. For that matter, Beyonce’s performance at Super Bowl 2013 can hardly differ depicting the deluded, be it the masses or a select few, that are ushered in rank and file, week in and week out to unwittingly channel in their alter ego plying the pulpit and yet be harnessed by deceit for merchandise. Madness. Or better yet the caption that says ‘Think–while its still legal!’ Never mind the gainsayers, should it baffle us when some make a defense of their pet heretic if only to confirm their delusion? Know that for every gainsayer, there are dozens more who are unbending in the pure Word of God. I can put up signs to warn you but no further than the fiery Pit. Just get the full Monty out folks–before its way too late! ~ Larry James, Singapore.

Rev. 22:12 “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” 14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. 15 But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie. 16 “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches.

‘I totally agree with what you have to say!’ LT. [Lawrence Theodore Jeyachandran] Executive Director in Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (Asia-Pacific) April 2003-September 2012.

‘Dear Larry, Thank you for your very insightful article into the errors & fallacies in many modern churches and so called preachers of faith. Blessings!’ Rev. Alfred Ang Cheng Kiat (Emeritus Pastor) Emmanuel Assembly of God, Singapore

‘Dear Larry James, Thank you for this article. I have been very concerned about this issue for a very long time. These are some good places for further reflections…[websites]. And many more that you know. Thank you once again my friend!’ Ps. Pritam Singh Sandhu – South Asian Connection Founder/ President. Singapore

‘Very well said, James…God has opened your eyes and at the same time also in His Grace allowed you to attend these places of worship to idols to observe and discern correctly. God is exposing a lot of leaders in the Church today but at the same time is also testing the hearts of their followers. God allows this to test his people. Great you came out of the woodwork! May you continue to be led by the Holy Spirit and preach an uncompromising Gospel of Jesus Christ onto Salvation and pray for all men to come and know the Truth, especially leaders and His people. For His Glory alone,’ Ps Jan Clierinck, RCCG Singapore

The Fresh Prince – Destined To Ruin by Lance Goodall, CWM Ministries, 12/6/12 (Joseph) Prince is preaching a different Jesus, another gospel…and although he’s articulate, charismatic, convincing, and preaching ‘grace’; he is a blind leader of the blind, leading astray the unlearned and unstable. He is at best a false apostle, and at worst a conniving HERETIC! (2 Corinthians 11:12-15; 2 Peter 3:16).

Sze Zeng: A Deeper Look At Joseph Prince’s Destined to Reign
    http://szezeng.blogspot.sg/2008/10/deeper-look-at-joseph-princes-destined.html

Joseph Prince and his message of radical grace – PLUS his word faith teachings.
http://www.letusreason.org/Popteach56.htm Many see Prince as an excellent communicator. But what exactly is he communicating? At first it seems he is focused on God’s grace, but there is a mixture. Many in Asia may not be aware of these issues on doctrine so we might have to begin at ground level to make sense on why what he stating is BIBLICALLY WRONG and can be hazardous to ones spiritual health. There are those who say: anyone who criticizes Prince has not listened to what he preaches. So we should go over what he preaches and what he has written to see what is of grace, what is exaggerated to be error and what is of word faith. We will have a copious amount of quotes through this article series. (also Pt.2 Grace, and the lack of personal accountability for sin)

Kurtmerf — 2013-03-14 21:00 G’day Lance thank you so much for writing this article! I live on the Gold Coast but came from America where I grew up with very sound bible teachers. I’m not sure why but God brought me to a church I will leave anonymous? The pastors first sermon was entitled Destined to Reign!! I googled it, and he was preaching right off JPs outline! I later brought this up because I felt it was dishonest and the young adults pastor told me “but it’s an anointed message”. I was shocked, by the deception of not giving credit to the author? I later researched the book and its errors! When I pointed a few out some people got really mad at me and told me I was legalistic? They then gossiped about me and then lied about it! Needless to say there was no GRACE at this GRACE church, My parents also had a meeting with the pastor who told them he could have an “affair with his secretary and still be under grace!” I have forgiven everyone there but it was really hard moving on and I suffered much rejection. I’m thankful to Christ that he has my life fully in his hands! I want Him to be made known! He is Holy! Full of Grace and Love! Jesus said you know a tree by the fruit this is the fruit of FALSE teaching and hyper grace! The opposite extreme is Legalism which I am also against! This experience pushed me into deeper study of Gods word! The whole conviction of sin arguments are so easy to figure out I did a Greek WORD STUDY (duh!) and realised that the same word is used with believers in regards to sin in other scriptures! If the Holy Spirit never convinced or reproved of sin which is what CONVICT means why did Jesus in Revelation reveal sin to churches and call them to repentance!! Wake up JP is false and many are under a STRONG delusion!

  2. Excellent post. I was checking continuously this blog and I’m impressed! Very helpful info particularly the last part :) I care for such information a lot. I was seeking this particular info for a long time. Thank you and good luck.

  3. Church at The Gate in Souix Falls SD needs to be listed. They are New Apostolic. Life Groups offer GHOP (same as IHOP) Omega Course by Mike Bickle, Cleansing Stream (like SOZO) Prophetic impartation through worship. I listened to 2 sermons on Raising The Dead!! Pray for this pastor Steve Hickey and his lost sheep.

  4. I attended a WoF, prosperity gospel church and even attended the bible school in San Antonio, TX. The church is called Christian Family Church and they are headquartered here and Johannesburg South Africa. The senior Pastors are Theo and Beverley Wolmarans. He actually was called out in the newspapers in SA for being a false prophet. Anyway, they are speading out all around Texas (and the US and world) and the word needs to get out. Please let me know if you need any info and I’d be glad to give you all info.

    • Sandy, any church that is involved in the Sozo Ministry or is affiliated with the Word of Faith Movement is on this list. Though the list could grow by leaps and bounds, I in no way could list them all, just ones referred to me and those I’ve researched myself. It is not my desire to be decisive but to warn people of the dangers of the Word of Faith Movement.

  5. Is it possible to find out when a specific church was added to this list? I am trying to figure out what is going on at my church recently and have found that it is on here. Thank you.

    • MM, the churches listed here have been on the list for a couple of years now. I haven’t done much with the list in some time and there are many more which need to be added. There is just to many to list them all. My advise is study carefully the Word of God and compare it to what your church is teaching. If they are involved in the Sozo Ministry or are apart of the Word of Faith or NAR movements, I recommend you consider searching for a church with a orthodox foundation.

  6. Good info- was a worship leader at one of the church’s mentioned in the list. Noticed oddness in the B. Johnson teachings/word of faith teachers being supported. Approached the elder/leadership body about it- and subsequently was removed/stepped down when the leadership body refused to examine those same teachings in light of scripture. Was told we were “Either on the bus or not”- my family chose “not”. Scary and sad when friends trade God for twisted theology, fire tunnels, gold dust, angel feathers, “healings” and experiental mysticism. Sad when folks trade the truth of Christ for false miracles in their search for “the divine and miraculous.”

    • Couldn’t agree more JJ, sorry you had to experience such scorn from what is called “Christian” leadership. But it does show their true nature when challenged to examine themselves by the Scripture. There is a real aversion to the Word of God by all of these churches, at least the parts that disagree with them. You chose right, nothing or no one should take first place over Jesus Christ and truth. Jesus is both Divine and miraculous but he works all things according to His Will, not ours! God bless you on your journey brother!

  7. Thank you for speaking out against deception and lies. You are a God send to me – as I was just calling a local church regarding their Sozo ministry – even today. I am looking for some help with prayer and their website seemed harmless enough – even the statement of faith of the church seemed solid. This church is on the above list in Texas. Anyway, after reading your article on Sozo and what is really involved – I am convinced that God has used your to protect me from being deceived. Praise Him for His faithfulness and His Word that keeps us grounded.

  8. Rick Warren, Steve Furtick, Eric Dykstra, Perry Noble, Ed Young, Mark Driscoll, Craig Grecshel Steve Perkins( this guy is real mild compare to some but can’t be trusted)He studies Eric Dykstras on how his church is growing and growing so he can be the next big MAGA church . I just wanted to name a few that I research and expose. Thanks and God bless

  9. If you did a Canadian list (at least for Ontario, sadly I’m sure it’s the same across the country as it is in the USA), you’d run into the same problem of being unable to keep track of all the places. Aside from heresy coming into already-established churches, I’ve seen a whole slew of new storefront plants that came out of the Copeland’s ‘ministry’ and from TACF and other false revivals, people who have literally gone to a website and paid thirty bucks to be mailed a piece of paper saying they’re ordained. They are pretty much free to say and do what they please, according to “the leading of the Holy Spirit”, regardless of how weird or unbiblical it is. Bah.

  10. Passing the Torch 2010, T.L.Lowery at The Assembly, West Monroe,LA, he sat at the so called Alter in a chair as the Pastor Shane Warren took up a Love $eed and surrounded him(Lowery) with BUCKETS of $$$$$ (Love $eed) on the Alter! The Assembly has placed a huge black curtain on back wall of stage to make it look more like a stage, in doing this, they have chose to cover the Cross. They have traded the Alter for a Stage!

  11. What, you can only list one in Louisiana? How is Jesse Duplantis escaping your list and his new found followers in The Assembly, West Monroe, LA, pastor Shane Warren of The Assembly has ties to TBN, God TV through their own TV network ( voice network), Rabbi Curt Landry, Rod Parsely, Myles Munroe, Bill Johnson and Jesus Culture, Eddie James, …ETC. It’s so blatant that it will turn your stomach how truth can be hidden by the their thirst to be on TBN (I call it To Be Noticed channel) it is sad.

    • KoJo, It is hard to list them all, but Jesse Duplantis will lol. The problem is, there are so many out there now I would have to spend my every waking hour listing them. I will look at the ones you list here. Thanks.

  12. You should look into any of the ‘ministries’ connected to Ed Dufresne (out of California) and Living Word (Brooklyn Park, MN) — Ed Dufresne is connected to Bill Matthews who is on your list.

  13. Could you add Retha McPherson Ministries to your list. She is from South Africa, but often visits the US to minister and teach. Her ministry includes a Spirit School where many unsuspecting sheep get a spirit guide – just check the testimonies on her website. It takes a bit of time to go back and sift through them. Thank you for warning people – it is sad how many are drawn into this. I was quite shocked to see on dvd, Kenneth Hagin hissing like a serpent and pastors and their wifes sliding from chairs like serpents – Kenneth Copeland included. Rhema and WOF congregations do not know how demonic their pastors and teachers were/are.

  14. Another dangerous one to look at Glory of Zion international ministries Chuck Pierce, involved in reformation NAR. Stream ministries and Bridge ministries are tied closely. I was involved with this UGH……

  15. I attended river meetings at Victory Christian Center in Coitsville, OH. They have had speakers such as Bill Johnson, Patricia King, and many others. I would warn anyone to avoid them.

  16. Why are Steve and Shaye Caperton of Rivertree Church in Milfrod Ohio on your List? Their Statement of Faith is plainly available for all to see at rivertreechurch.org, and I see nothing out of the ordinary or unorthodox in it. If you notice something in the statement which would place them
in the category of a non-Christian cult, would you share what it is in all fairness? If not, could you state plainly why they are on the list since it would have nothing to do with doctrine- the litmus test the church has always used to identify error? If you cannot do these, would you have Christlike humility enough to issue a retraction and
    remove them from your List?

    • Joe, I added Rivertree Church because they had Todd Bentley at their church. I have targeted any church or ministry associated with the Word of Faith, the New Apostolic Reformation which are bringing serious false doctrine into the church. If Rivertree denounces or breaks fellowship with these men and ministries I would be glad to remove them from my list. Otherwise they will remain as dangerous ministries to the body of Christ.

  17. Another one that should be listed are “The Bridge” These churchs are linked with Streams Ministries – John Paul Jackson, They are sprouting up all over like poison Ivy

    • I would agree to that statement. John Paul Jackson is the charismania/supernatural expressionist guru for dream and vision interpretation training. I’ve been through these very expensive courses. He also teaches and claims to have experienced out of body travel, trips to the throne room, portals, etc. He takes or sends teams to various fairs and other gatherings where there are crowds. One in particular, and the most dangerous, is Burning Man in the desert. It is quite vile. The Bridge churches (some, if not all) are post Vineyard (John Wimber).

      • Well I guess the List is going to grow. I’m about to just add every church in America. Sad is the hour we live in but yet exciting as we are the generation which will witness the fulfillment of prophecy. Thanks mkayla, I will have to spend some time on the List. And as always, God bless.

        • Sad is the hour – YES!

I have found my church to be not worth attending any longer. Again an example of the problem not being what is preached from the pulpit, but what goes on around it – in groups, meetings, events, books passed around, etc., heresy that is known about and kept silent so we can all get along. We got a little flavor of charismania and a little emergent.

          Not for me.

So many wonder why the faith seems to be so powerless, but none bother to look at their own compromise.

They no longer teach the work of the Holy Spirit thru scripture, but instead purchase expensive “how to” programs to get the job done. ugh.

I’m tired and know that I am not alone.
Thanks for your work and the encouragement both of you have brought to my life. :)

          • Your right mkayla, it is getting harder and harder to find a church anywhere where the purity of God’s word is valued and taught, even among the reformed churches. Pat and I don’t even look anymore. I would love to assemble with the saints, there is so much I miss but I can not afford, as you said, to compromise, not anymore. And I cannot remain silent, so I guess I’m up the creek without a paddle. I love God’s Word, was taught to when I first got saved and I don’t want to loose that love, it’s to valuable. And thank you for the encouragement, hang in thier, I just wish people like us could come together from time to time for some good fellowship, that would be awesome! But I know we all live to far away from each other.

          • Hi Mkayla
just want to encourage you to perserve, i also have not been attending church mostly because of all the entertainment and lack of discernment, however the lord is faithful and his promise that grace will abound in greater measure where evil is.
we are the church, the body of Christ we must keep our eyes fixed firmly on the one we love and stand for the truth, no matter what the cost. Take courage he always keeps a remnant for himself and remember he is returning for his precious bride. there are many people who are very alert to all the deception and errors, keep praying and asking for His wisdom.
            blessings to you from NZ

  18. Hi. This was the message from the lost e-mail -
We attended the Vineyard and was where I learned the false prophetic. The wife pastor Layne is very much involved and takes her prophetic team to different locations to teach and prophesy. Her husband is involved in the pastoral care for that region so they have great influence. They are heavily influenced by John Paul Jackson and Barbie Breathitt in dream interpretation, and with the Bethel scene, theophostics and sozo. I was part of the Vanc Prayer and Healing Rooms as “Intercessor” and later as Assoc Director. Freedom Ministries was created by the previous Assoc Director and another team member. Heritage Church is the current location for the Vanc Prayer and Healing Room. Previous to all of this we attended Faith Center. Just so you know of my personal involvement and that I am not just throwing names out there.

  19. Hi.
I am thinking in Vancouver, Wa –

Vancouver Vineyard Church, Steve and Layne Fish, Pastors
Vancouver Prayer and Healing Rooms, Bill and Carol Timm
Freedom Ministries/Healing Rooms (not affiliated with IAHR) David Williams and Bob Matson
Heritage Church, Brian R. Davenport, Pastor
Faith Center Church (RHEMA) Glen and Theresa Johnson, Pastors

  20. Some of these church’s websites are so vague that it becomes difficult to identify even what they believe and stand on about ANYTHING; it’s amazing some of the things they say and don’t say !!!!! Oh you may get the standard “this is what we believe list”
which most any church that calls themselves Christian will post but that means absolutely nothing. When you look a little deeper you find them promoting and following all the false teachers. Amazing how they trick you. That’s why many are suspect but looking at their website info. is not enough proof. You would think that any church that is going to put a website up would make it clear what they are promoting….oh….wait …..they do!!!! They give you the “standard belief list” then the rest of the site is full of fun filled entertaining things that you and your friends and family can come and participate in…..don’t worry about getting fed….they perform magic in the back room and send you home with your own supernatural training kit so that you too can “soak, get sozo’d, slain, sloshed, …….OK I’m stopping now…..have had a disturbing morning looking into these things and had to vent.

  21. One to look into is Solid Rock Church in Elk River, MN. This guy, Bill Matthews, Basically took over an AoG church and stole it. Here are some links if you want to read up on it.

I would also ask that you look at Michael Murdock. I was bored one day and watched him on the inspiration network. These people make it up as they go along. Things like: telling people to put their seed money on their credit card, delayed obedience is lack of obedience, next to Jesus the surest thing in this world is that a planted seed will produce a harvest, uncommon favor, how you treat your parents will determine your harvest.

    • Mike Murdock, along with a host of other money preachers are on the Daystar network 24 hours a day with what they call ” The Spring Sharathon ”
even here in Florida we consider February to be winter. This is a great cover up Of Marcus the founder of Daystar admittance of a couple adulterous affairs he had several years ago and due to suits etc is costing him millions in payoffs.
Mike while preaching the send me money so God will feel an obligation to bless you said that for those who would send it a $ 1,000 seed or more they would receive a copy of his latest book ……..whatever { more of a pamplet } he stated that next to the Bible his book is the most important ever written to obtain Gods wealth ! Wow ! quite a statement.
The heck with trying to be nice ” Let These Guys Roast In Hell “

      • Wow Bob, one thing is for sure, these guys will roast in Hell if they don’t repent! It is sad that God is held hostage by these men to cover up their sin. I’m sick of those who call themselves, think of themselves, and protray themselves as men of God when they can’t keep it in their pants, if you know what I mean. I was in ministry for several years and the one thing I did was I kept my wife very close to me. Your right, the heck with trying to be nice! These men need to be revealed for what they really are, DEVIL’S.

        • Such grace from Closing stages “these men will roast in hell” – personally I don’t know enough about these people or their doctrine to pass commentary on whether they or their ministries are heretical. And am certainly from the post above do NOT agree with his actions. But I would be wary of passing such judgements on others, as you will be judged yourself one day and surely you will want to receive grace in relations to your sins.

Furthermore, the way and manner in which this list is constructed reminds me of Jesus’ response to pharisees in Matthew’s gospel – they knew the scriptures and their roles – but were not blessing others with what they knew of the scriptures. This is a very negative section of your website and surely blesses nobody and adds further fuel to non-christians criticisms of “Christians”.

I suspect that this section of your website does more harm than good, promoting disharmony and division within the church. Surely what unites different denominations is more important that what differs between them. I’m from the UK where I am well aware of the affects of religious disharmony – I only need to look to Northern Ireland for that.

          • “Such grace from Closing Stages “them men will roast in hell”

I have been in and around these false doctrines for many years now, so what you assume is my lack of grace by stating that these men will roast in hell is not lack of grace. Oh how I wish one would repent and turn but that is not the case. They continue on the path of destruction and the road to hell by their own desires and lusts.
“To the “not blessing other with what they knew in scriptures” and “this is a very negative section of your website and blesses nobody” I can only say that even though it may appear to you to be negative, many times truth is “negative” and hard to hear. As far as “blessing” others brother I have many who say they are thankful for this “list” Oh that someone would have warned me of the dangers of these false teachers and doctrines. As far as fueling the non-Christians criticisms of “Christians” the unsaved are already at enmity with God so there is no understanding in them to begin with, this section is meant for those who are saved and searching for truth and care about warning other brothers and sisters in Christ about the apostate churches out there. As stated in an earlier comment I could work on this list 24-7 and still not identify all the churches that are teaching false doctrines today. The church today is in more than crisis mode, many have turned from sound doctrine and are teaching doctrines of demons.

As you state ” personally I don’t know enough about these people or their doctrine to pass commentary on whether they or their ministries are heretical.”
You may not know but I and many others do know that they are heretical and it is our desire to warn as many and assist as many as we can in bringing to light the heresy that is going on today. As far as promoting “disharmony and division within the church” that does not lay at this door, that belongs at the feet of those who are teaching these heresies. Once you stray from God’s Word in your teachings and preaching’s and continue on that path the division is automatically there, the deception is very powerful, to not speak up against these ministries because of the standard automatic statement that you gave about causing divisions. Comments like this I know are sincere but they are regurgitated from past programming, that eliminates our discernment in these matters. I know I was in it.

1 Cor. 11:18-19 For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions. For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.

Hebrews 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age , even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

If the Word of God says that there will be heresies and divisions among us; how then can you give me the credit? All the years I spent in churches I was never taught these things. I was fearful of “touching the anointed” and therefore I was an immature stunted Christian not having my senses exercised to discern both good AND EVIL when scriptures clearly point out that heresies and divisions will be among us and MORE importantly it tells us why. So that we MAY KNOW they which are approved and that we will KNOW how to discern good from evil. I freely admit I am a work in progress on this journey of maturing and discerning . Brother I ask you to consider these things and know that it is not my desire or intent to cause divisions, that has already happened by those on the “list”. My desire is to help those who are trapped and deceived in these ministries and they should be made public to warn others who may be looking or wondering about them and the false doctrines they teach.

  22. I was surprised to see Our Fathers House on your list. We attended this church off and on for several years before moving and found pastor Larry Booth to teach sound doctrine and very sincere, and a great God Lover. He also came to my rescue both financially and spirtually when we had taken in several grandkids which was very tough time in our lives.I never heard Larry preach any nonsense. Could you explain why they are on your list ?

    • Hey Bob, I have targeted churches involved with Bill Johnson’s Sozo ministry. I have studied Bill Johnsons doctrine for some time now and believe his teachings are heresy. I also understand the dynamics of the Sozo ministry and I am convinced it does more harm than good. Our Fathers house is on the Sozo list.

      • Your right, Our Fathers House is involved with the zoso movement I asked my daughter about it and she said that she attended a sofa session they started with prayer and discussed
inter feelings and hidden sin that needs to come to the surface etc. I was shocked seems more like Yoga and mystic stuff rather than Christian guidence She also received a personal prophecy from one of the teachers I read it seems very generic to me just think IN CASE YOU MISSED IT it is written down for you for your future reveiw WOW !

How can churches let these foolish and deceptive things enter into The Body Of Christ ?
Thanks i never knew what zoso meant untill I found it on your site
        God Bless
        Bob

        • Thanks Bob, it’s not my desire to bring harm to the body of Christ. However we are commanded by God’s Word to discern, we can’t afford to allow ourselves to be decieved. I have looked into the Sozo ministry and I personaly know several people heavily into it. You are right, most of it is new age, mystical, and I plan on doing some audio’s and articles on it at some time in the future. I just have so much I’m looking at right now it’s hard to tackle it all. Any info you discover, please share with me. I hope your daughter is aware of the dangers of this movement. There are a list of recommended sites on my site you can look at that may help you further. As to why churches let this deception into the Body of Christ, well, I have come to the conclusion, they don’t love the truth of God’s word. Somehow, the Bible is no longer sufficient. It is, in my opinion, part of the strong delusion spoken of in 2 thess. 2:11-12. That is, we are beginning to see it. The prophetic is replacing the Word of God, and they are redefining who Jesus was, what He did on the cross, and redefining truth itself. My advise, hold true to the written Word.

    • Bob,
Here is a link that may be of help to you.
      http://mkayla.wordpress.com/2009/06/19/inner-healing/

As Mike said it is something that he intends on addressing at some point. I can tell you that I know and have talked with a friend who has gotten out of Sozo and the WoF deception. One of her greatest concerns about this supposed ministry is it sounds a lot like regression therapy/freud/jung – psychology, which it is. She also had a valid point when most are not even close to being trained professional in dealing with someones disorders and that she feared many who attend these sessions could possibly have a mental and emotional breakdown. Someone who needs trained Christian prolfessional therapy and possibly medication are at great risk. It’s mystical and psychology rolled together. Everyone signs a release form, go figure. Hope the site I listed helps. Will be keeping you and yours in our prayers.

      • Here is another site and listed below that are all comments taken from this site. Hope it helps.

        http://deceptionbytes.com/dbforum/index.php?action=printpage;topic=237.0

The scary thing about these programs is that it makes pseudo-psychologists
and teachers of people who have very much baggage of their own.
Much damage can be done to fragile souls by people with a canned deliverance
        program.

Here is a little description of what I found about it:

The SOZO ministry is a unique inner healing and deliverance ministry in which the main aim is to get to the root of those things hindering your personal connection with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. There are six tools that the SOZO team uses:

        Father Ladder
        Four Doors
        Presenting Jesus
        The Wall
        Trigger Mechanisms (Advanced Tool)
        Divine Editing (Advanced Tool)
By using these tools and following the Holy Spirit, wounds are healed, strongholds broken, truth revealed, and “doors” closed.

A SOZO session may last 2-3 hours and is conducted by two team members. The Sozo team will sit down with you and with the help of the Holy Spirit walk you through the process of freedom and wholeness.
I have seen abuse when it comes to some deliverance session. A red flag to me would be the 2-3 hour session to wear the person down. Would this be one session are a series of 2-3 hour sessions? The Holy Spirit quickens the problem to those who are used to do deliverance and when it comes to deliverance each and every deliverance is not the same as another…..

Father Ladder…Are we trying to climb up to the Father??
Four Doors….What are these doors and what is behind these doors??Are they locked and we must find the key to open them???
Presenting Jesus…Should not Jesus be presented at all times??
The Wall..I heard of this so many times. You have a wall around you that needs to be broken down so Jesus or others can come in…Is there not a hedge/wall of safety that God puts around His own???
Trigger mechanisms…Is this a word or saying that we say to obtain His presence or is it something in our past that causes us to think what we do???
Divine editing..What is this??Where God edits things out of our life?

I do not believe that there is a formula for healing on man’s part. It is God who heals a person in His divine time and He will shut the door that no man will be able to open. Everything we go through is a teaching session from God. You can either let God take care of it or you can languish in man’s formula. You will end up a better person or a bitter person and you are allowed to choose whom you shall trust.

  23. Mike

Came across your “List” and found my church on your list. And another church in our network of churches. Wow! Before you go as far as to determine the theology of a church, spend some time studying them. We are not WOF nor the other church in our network…in fact we have discussed its danger at length. Simply put…your list is wrong. Just thought you might want to correct your errors and stray away from slandering your brothers and sisters in Christ.

    • Steve, is not your church a network church of Riverstone Church in Keenesaw, GA? They are connected to Bill Johnson and His Sozo Ministry. Bill Johnson has been teaching false doctrine for an extended period of time and is involved in the NAR, WOF, and Emergent Church movement (Contemplative prayer). All of which is leading the church into heresy. It is not slander to point out erroneous teaching. Your church is a plant/or sister church to Riverstone Church if I’m not mistaken. Besides, I was contacted by an individual who attened both of your churches affirming your involvement in the Sozo Minsity of Bill Johnson. If you can show documented proof your church is not involved in Word of Faith teachings, I would be more than happy to remove your church from the list.
      ?

    • Hey Steve,
I and my family used to go to Riverstone for seven years. Riverstone (at least, many of the “spiritual pillars” and members) is very much WOF…I was taken to a Patricia King conference soon after attending my first Wesleyan Fellowship church service (invited by Joann Ryan, Kay Darby, etc.). Saw men clucking like roosters, there was even a guy we dubbed the “croncker” because he literally said “cronk” and flapped make-believe wings in the holy spirit. I deliberately left “Holy Spirit” uncapitalized because it wasn’t the Holy Spirit of the Bible. Steve, I taught your daughters in the garden, and now the leader of the garden is leaving Riverstone (Lori….Simeon has been scouting other churches for months). Please reconsider studying what you have been taught by Tom, Tom Roan, Terry, Mark and others. You are such an engaging person, obviously love people or you wouldn’t be doing what you’re doing. I have been saddened by my loss of relationships that I had with those who still attend Riverstone, but am so glad I left because the Jesus of the Bible is not the Jesus I saw there. Praying for you.

  24. Why did you leave so many off the list? One example would be Benny Hinn, televangelist who goes to the crypt of Catherine Kulman, calls up her spirit and claims he gets his annointing from her. This is directly against the teachings of Jesus. I could go on and on….

    • Well Anne, my list is not finished nor is it exhautive. I will add Benny Hinn, I agree he is one of the big dogs who is corrupting Christianity. There are so many out there, it’s hard to list them all, but with help, over time, I will. Thanks for the reminder and God Bless.

  25. @closingstages Not brethren? Personal gain? I respectfully disagree. Mike Bickle’s books “Pleasures of Loving God” and “Rewards of Fasting” and such, are riddled with such unparalelled passion and love for Jesus and the word, it is astounding. As a nearby resident you may know he has lived in a modest duplex for the past 25 years. I’ve never seen any indication of any motives for personal gain.

You yourself above show you cannot deny the fruit of Heidi Baker and Bill Johnson.. And by their fruit the Lord says we know them as His.

    • Brandon, you might want to do a study of Mike Bickle and the Word of Faith history. First their roots are from the “latter rain movement,” “manifest sons of God,” and going further back they are rooted in Christian Science. Second, it is not difficult to see their error when you take a hard look at their doctrine an then compare it with the Word of God. Their doctrine is not even close to Scripture. With heresy, there is always truth mingled in, that’s what makes it disceptive and hard to detect. It becomes leaven, like bread, it still haas the ingredients but the leaven within the bread has altared and changed the bread. Doctrinial purity is critical to a health spiritual life, how we veiw Jesus Christ etc. These men and women turn Jesus into an ordinary man who achieved godhood. And that is what they believe of the Church, we are little gods, like Jesus, equal to Jesus. And again they teach that Jesus himself died spiritually and was born again. Come on, Jesus is eternally God, from eternity past, he has always been God.

      • You are quite mistaken. Actually Mike does’t believe that at all. I have hundreds of Bickle sermons on my computer and I just found two clips. One is of Mike saying Jesus is fully God and fully man and one is of Him talking about the Father creating the earth and Jesus watching. Proof???: Mike’s website for ihop.org has his statement of faith http://ihop.org/Publisher/Article.aspx?ID=1000050150
        and denials: http://ihop.org/Publisher/Article.aspx?ID=1000050149.

        • Brandon, the “statements of faith” and what we believe” listings on any church or ministries site is of course going to give you the “standard” creed and beliefs of the Christian faith. If they actually put what they really teach and believe it would be much easier to identify them. Oh, if only it was that easy to discover their false teachings. Unfortunately it’s not that easy to uncover the deception. It’s hard work, it takes a lot of time and you truly have to listen and check every word that is spoken; because truth is mixed in with the lie, that’s why we are told to discern and watch and listen and then check every word to see if it lines up with the scriptures. I’m not talking about just misquoting or speaking something out that may not be true, through our own ignorance or lack of studying and understanding of God’s Word, and then going back and correcting our failures to speak the truth. Which Mike Bickle has not done. We’re talking about the continual twisting of Scripture, out of context, spiritualizing what verses they deem necessary, in order to reinforce their belief system (not what the scriptures actually teach). I have already looked at the sites you’ve given me before. I can tell you from personal experience that you will not truly be able to identify what someone teaches and believes just from their “statements of faith”. Having said that, I implore you to at least do some investigation into these things and pray for an open mind and heart as you search the scriptures, especially with someone you are following and put your trust in to guide you, please check out EVERY word and doctrine and teaching. Again I say this because it happened to me. I put too much trust and stock into what the man/preacher was saying and not checking to see if it was lining up with the Word, that’s how I was duped, my fault …..yes. Because I didn’t take the time to check everything said or taught, because my trust and faith was actually misplaced in a man and a system rather than the Word of God. It is clear you are a full blown follower of Mike Bickle, that’s your choice. We all make choices and have to live with the consequences of that choice. As for me, I know all I need to know about Mike Bickle, I’ve made my choice and I can live with it. God Bless, and may the Lord help you in your journey to discover truth.
