Deception, a mixture of truth and error. Leaven, the whole lump is infested with error. This is very evident with teachings such as this. It brings error into the body of Christ. Thanks Treena Gisborn.

Prasch sinks further into false teaching and heresy, recently referring to the Metatron as Jesus Christ on YouTube. Below is one of the most convoluted teachings I have heard from Prasch, probably deliberately so in order to confuse his hearers. {1}
The Metatron is described as an angelic being in the Babylonian Talmud, in various other mystical writings and in the apocryphal books of Enoch. In these writings, it is said that after Enoch’s translation (Genesis 5:24), that he was transformed into the angel Metatron. The Greek Meta+Tron translates Beyond+Matrix. The Metatron is referred to as “Lesser YHVH” in a version of the Talmud by the Karite scholar Kirkisani. Jewish myths are condemned in the New Testament – as such Christians should completely avoid such teachings:

Therefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith, not devoting themselves to Jewish myths and the commands of people who turn away from the truth. (Titus 1:13-14 cf. 1Timothy 1:42 Timothy 4:4).

Let no one disqualify you, insisting on asceticism and worship of angels, going on in detail about visions, puffed up without reason by his sensuous mind, and not holding fast to the Head, from whom the whole body, nourished and knit together through its joints and ligaments, grows with a growth that is from God. (Colossians 2:18-19).

Compelling Truth’s warning:

“Metatron is at best a legend, and at worst, a deception—there is no reason to believe he exists. The Bible never mentions him, and the descriptions of Metatron in the mystical writings do not agree with the biblical descriptions of angels. The Bible tells us not to pursue ‘godless myths and old wives’ tales’ but to instead train ourselves in godliness (1 Timothy 4:7 NIV). Furthermore, the worship of angels is associated with asceticism and false visions, and is opposed to the worship of Christ (Colossians 2:18-19).” {2}

In fact this is not a new heresy from Prasch after all! He referred to “the Metatrone” as “the Lord Jesus” four times in his book ‘Harpazo’ (2014) (pages 11, 135, 271, 357).

Prasch:“As no one can see God and live, (Ex.33:20), God would therefore appear in a human form as a ‘Christophany’, often as ‘The Angel of the Lord’ or Ha Malach Adoni (known as the Metatrone in Judaism). This is the Lord Jesus. (emphasis mine). {3}

  1. I do not have a specific ‘dog’ in this fight though I’m sad to see the squabbles and concerned about continuing fractures rather than strengthening within those who claim to be in Christ.
    I suppose there are 2 types of ecumenicism. One type, throws away truth, attempting to build unity at the expense of truth and the other upholds the firm truths and asks truth-lovers to rally around it and build other areas through humbly comparing ideas to the whole counsel of God. Every Pastor needs to be aware that he has likely held some teachings which were carried along as presuppositions in a theological model but which needed to be tested against scripture because of the natural warp of doctrine over time through constant cultural influences and the natural confusion of battle.
    I have learned things from each of these men in the bible church camp. And I mourn the wrongs that I’ve noticed in some of their teaching. Perhaps Prasch was unwise to name the video after Metatron but I actually found the ideas he presented in the video to be helpful in understanding how Judaism explains the preincarnate appearances of Christ. Too bad that so much mythology clouded their understanding as they tried to discredit the deity of Christ inherent to Christianity and fell on Babylonish influence rather than sticking to their own record as passed down to God-fearing scribes.
    I pray for the day that the remnant believers all gather to keep Sabbath as did the early church and the precious Redeemer we follow. We would do better to use His example rather than hurling accusations. We can best contend for the faith by realizing that scripture is consistent and then upholding the consistent Word.
    I am not against any of these teachers, but I am against any pride that clings to the traditions the fracture truth. Let’s pray for humility as Christ who ‘made Himself of no reputation.’

  2. Agreed, this is just one of the many false and erroneous teachings coming from Prasch. All one needs to do is fact check him on his scripture usage and context. God bless

  3. You can’t tolerate Metatron and be in fellowship with Jesus Christ. As for me and my house we will serve the Lord.

  5. You must not have read this passage about the ones who see god.
    “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.”
    Matthew‬ ‭5:8
    The rest of the article holds some great points as well but you already gave the bottom line. Good job.

  6. Hi Mike and Pat, here is a link to a Mormon teaching Metatron and the two Yahweh’s. This obviously would fit into Mormon doctrine as they believe in multiple God’s. Only post it if you think it is helpful.
    Praying for both.

  7. Wanted to also share these two short videos from another youtube channel. Don’t know who she is but it is encouraging to know that others are paying attention and speaking out about this error.

  8. It seems that Jews for Jesus are promoting this teaching.

    Some short videos exposing Metatron.

    I also have been looking at the two powers in heaven teaching, which I again believe is false. It appears it leads to teaching there are two Yahweh’s, as claimed by someone posting on Prasch’s Metatron video. Is this not what Muslims accuse us of, that we believe in more than one God? This stuff seems to lead down some rabbit trails!

  9. Pure Truth,
    Thank you for your comment and the information that you have shared, I know many who are seeking will benefit from it. For Jacob to embrace Kabbalah and bring this teaching into the Church and to blend it with the Holy Scripture is indeed heresy. He himself says so. The irony in all of this is that Jacob, true to form actually teaches against the very thing he has done with bringing the Metatron into Christendom. The true astonishment comes from many of his followers being so dumbed down that they see nothing but their savior Jacob Prasch. However there are more and more coming out of this deceptive slumber and leaving the rank and file of Moriel and affiliates.

    1Th 2:3  For our exhortation did not come from error or uncleanness, nor was it in deceit.

    JP quote: “Notice the sequence, first comes error, then comes impurity, then comes deception. The sequence is important. Error means doctrinal error. Error is followed by impurity, the Greek word for impurity is ak-ath-ar-see’-ah it means it’s not pure. It means a mixture. Something that has not been cleansed, there is impurity mixed with what is right and what is good. It’s a mixture of truth and error, a mixture of flesh and spirit. A mixture of what is good and what is bad but it begins with error. A little leaven, leavens the entire lump of dough. ”

    This is exactly what he has done with Kabbalah/Metatron.

  10. http://www.luminanti.com/tfkab3pillars.html

    Metatron’s 3 pillars as defined by the 13th sentient satanic Zohar mythically penned by shimon ben yochai who lived a little after Jesus time. According to the zohar the tree pillars are a trinity of God of sorts. But the first two pillars were disagreeable and fighting and needing the third pillar the Metatron to intercede and being unity. That is a satanic distortion of trinity. Jacob says he prays the Metatron and that he learned from the “respected Rabbi” shimon ben yochai in the zohar about Metatron this all quite offensive to my Christian ears

    Jacob even calls this Zohar mystic a “christian” and supports his cave revelation from “Elijah” which sounds quite like Muhammad
