A Teachable Moment

Theology is not simply a systematic doctrinal belief; it is also what we implement into our lives as a lifestyle.  We always act out our true doctrinal beliefs.  Often, pastors as well as believers have an uncandid way of presenting doctrinal truth while living contrary to its principles all the while imposing upon others the need for conformity to biblical truth. We see this played out with the Pharisee’s when Jesus instructed his disciples in Matthew 23:2-3 saying; “The scribes and Pharisees sit in Moses seat.  Therefore, whatever they tell you to observe, that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do.”  Bill Randles in the video clip above embellishes the facts by stating David Nathan taught the blood of Jesus has no profit in any dispensation.  Nathan never taught that, and even though Bill is aware of this today he has made no attempt to retract his statement nor pull the video containing his erroneous statement.

Titus 3:10

“A man that is an heretic after the first and second admonition reject; knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.” KJV

“After the first and second warning reject a divisive man (who promotes heresy and causes dissension, ban him from your fellowship and have nothing more to do with him),  well aware that such a person is twisted and is sinning; he is convicted and self-condemned (and is gratified by causing confusion among believers). AMP

The Greek word airetikos meaning heretic is used only here.  This is known as an ad hominin, and heretic here is describing an individual who is schismatic, a follower of a false doctrine.  Deeper still the meaning describes someone who is self-willed, opinionated and unsubmissive to orthodox doctrine, a person who obstinately maintains self-determined beliefs and interpretations of Scripture which are contrary to revealed truth.

There is another word used in the New Testament which is heresies that is describing sectarian groups who follow their own tenets, these are called sects.  These sects show themselves to be divisive.

1 Cor 11:19

For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.”

While those who are shown to be genuine, true, and loyal to orthodoxy, divisions exist from those who are self-willed causing divisions through differences of opinion.  Let me say here, opinion means nothing in light of biblical truth.  Not all divisions however are of an obstinate spirit, some are necessary and matured separations.

Now those who are divisive, self-willed, and over opinionated, the scripture shows are walking in the flesh.

Gal. 5:19-20

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies”

Again, these are self-constituted parties who choose schism, that is, they split congregations with their self-proclaimed heresies, often leading others into the same error as themselves.    We see this played out today with church splits.

2 Peter 2:1-2

“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.”

There is always a sharp contrast between false teachers who bring heresies and true teachers who hold to biblical orthodoxy.

For example, the standard form of preaching for such false teachers is eisegesis, making the scriptures say what they want by taking it out of context. Cherry picked verses and cut and paste scripture. Such as was the case with a pastor’s recent sermon concerning salvation and sin where Paul’s thorn in the flesh was presented as not sin, then not necessarily as sin; at least the pastor didn’t think so but which means he’s not really sure and so inserted this scripture into the sermon, leaving the hearers wondering and confused.

A Teachable Moment

The double mindedness and double tongue of Bill Randles is something that most have overlooked over time and excused as perhaps a slip of the tongue. Many still embrace Bill as sound in his teachings but let’s take a closer look at what his double mindedness truly is and is not. Notice, especially when Bill is called out on his “slips” he always excuses himself with that’s not what I meant to say, or he was taken out of context, or even I guess I hit the wrong button, when publishing a comment that a person asked NOT to publish. However, Bill’s double speak seems to be the one thing that he consistently does, hence the phrase he is consistently inconsistent. This is not a slip; this is how he operates, this is his fruit.

This consistent type of teaching, behavior, and belief system of Bill’s has developed over the years and is a trait that is easily detectable if one will simply hold his words to the light of the scriptures.
In Proverbs 10:16 it says: “The labour of the righteous tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.“  The end product of both the righteous and the wicked are very different indeed, one is life, the other is sin.

First and foremost, one of the things all of us need to do, is to continue to look to the Scriptures for answers, this builds our discernment. Probably one of the most difficult things for us to reconcile within ourselves as Christians is when we hear another proclaimed Christian speak humble, kind, loving words and it just doesn’t sit right with us. We can’t shake it and it grinds us. You get that gut kick from the Holy Spirit but until you do the work to decern what is said from Scripture, you just can’t put your finger on the error. It’s difficult at times to discern good and evil, when someone is supposedly showing “fruit” of the spirit by using humble, kind, loving words. Saying all the right things, but it rings hollow.

Notice in Matthew 7:16 it speaks of “knowing them” by their “fruits”. In context Jesus is dealing with false prophets and Peter adds “false teachers” to this in 2 Peter 2:1.

We must take note that in Matt 7 Jesus himself is speaking and He clarifies that we will know them (false prophets) by their fruit, not their doctrine.

Ye shall know them by their fruits not their doctrines – as many of the elder interpreters and some later ones explain it – for that corresponds to the tree itself; but the practical effect of their teaching, which is the proper fruit of the tree.”(1)

While there are fruits of the Spirit, there are also “fruits” of false teachers and this is how Jesus said we would identify them. So, when we get a check in our spirit of someone who is saying all the “right/righteous” things we must look deeper at the fruit. Proverbs gives us a clear picture to use in identifying them.

Pro 10:18  He who hides hatred is of lying lips, and he who utters slander is a [self-confident] fool.

Pro 26:23  Burning lips [uttering insincere words of love] and a wicked heart are like an earthen vessel covered with the scum thrown off from molten silver [making it appear to be solid silver].

Pro 26:24-26  He who hates pretends with his lips, but stores up deceit within himself.  When he speaks kindly, do not trust him, for seven abominations are in his heart Though his hatred covers itself with guile, his wickedness shall be shown openly before the assembly.

Below are quotes from several articles/teachings by Bill Randles which shows clearly his hidden concealed hatred that he masks with “loveing” words and then speaks the opposite with vileness, sometimes within a few paragraphs from each other. He creates confusion, strife and error within the body. He vacillates over Jacob Prasch as teaching error and then wanting to reconcile with this unrepentant man. This is Bill’s fruit.

A question that needs to be asked and yes, it’s rhetorical.

When Bill left the WoF was there any time of deprograming done? Anyone who has left the WoF or a similar Charismania false teaching can clearly see the ear marks of the same false doctrines within Bill’s teachings today, several decades after he had denounced it. Add to that the decade or two that Bill has spent with Jacob Prasch whose bad fruit can be traced back to even before Bill Randles came on board with him. Can two walk together unless they agree? (Amos 3:3) The answer is no. Bill has been a willing participant.

“In one recent case a serious heretic was being confronted but had the good sense to just stand back and allow one of the leading defenders of the faith who was confronting him, to spew forth his anger and bile. The heretic presented himself so much better than his chief detractor, remaining calm, trying to show himself pacific (up to a point) , that he gained many followers though it all in spite of his open and outrageous claims denying the Father as Creator, and diminishing the blood of Jesus in the Millennium.

How did this blatant heretic get away with it?

His chief detractor was right doctrinally, but so wrong personally, engaging in vicious rhetoric with several people at once, members of his ‘ministry’ created vicious graphics to ridicule his enemies, He called a confessing Christian woman vile names, lashing out right and left and virtually spitting and frothing at the mouth, denouncing anyone who tried to bring moderation as Judas, (All in Public!).

All the heretic had to do was act humble, seem moderate, double down on his false teaching, And let his detractors shoot themselves in the foot.”

NOTE: Above Bill will still sings Jacob’s praises as being right in calling David Nathan a heritic and then he condemns David and leads the readers to believe this was David Nathan’s plan all along….to “double down” and act humble and saying he got away with it. Then Bill will say he hasn’t talked about David Nathan anymore, perhaps Bill thinks that if you don’t mention names it’s ok. This is Bill’s fruit.

Many times I have observed that the men who fling such terms around have abysmal marriages, they lord it over their own wives, (I actually heard one preacher say to his wife in front of others, “SHUSH!!!YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT WOMAN!) He was a big proponent of the “Jezebel/Ahab” myth, obviously.  Of course, those who deal this way, fancy themselves to be like…. (you guessed it)… Elijah.”

NOTE: An email from Kristin Randles to Treena Gisborn speaking of David Nathan. Bill refuses to let it go and stop taking shots at David Nathan and all the while claiming his love of brother Nathan and that he doesn’t take shots at him. This is Bill Randles fruit. He speaks out of both sides of his mouth.

https://billrandles.wordpress.com/2019/10/17/open-letter-to-the-moriel-board/  (3)

“Also whose Idea was it to publicly weaponize the obvious hurt and frustration of my friend and brother Sergio? His unfortunate and unhappy statement about his experience at our church shouldn’t be used as a weapon to hurt us.  Anyone at any given time can say anything when emotions and anger are running rampant, but wouldn’t it have been prudent to protect the body of Christ from this, and to cover brother Sergio from exposing his temporary bitterness? Love covers the Multitude of sins. “

William Randles Tim Wirth it is not true what they posted about how”vile” Kris and I, and these hypocrites repost from Jacobs website when it serves their interest in sliming my name, such as when they posted Sergio’s lying rant … none of it is”hard truth” https://www.facebook.com/sam.anderson.90857   (4)

Note: Here again Bill is caught in opposing statements. On the one hand he bemoans Sergio’s hurt, anger and unhappiness. Calling him friend and brother, claiming to want to protect the body of Christ and yet in Bill’s fb comment he claims the email is Sergio’s “lying rant.” Again, Bill’s fruit.

I am publicly calling for members of the Moriel board to treat me like a brother, and confront me with these charges so we can work it out as in Matthew 18.

Are you guys (or gals) good with what has been going on? Did anyone challenge Jacob when he actually misused his teaching gift to accuse me of being a Judas?
Why didn’t any of you call me? Before you pronounce these assertions around the world, doesn’t anyone on the board have the integrity to ask me if I am being represented fairly? I have received nothing other than a very accusatory letter from Amos Ferrel, and then to be told there would be no further discussion. I am calling upon you to act like men, and to treat me (an others) as a brother- Pastor Bill Randles (Believers in Grace)

NOTE Isn’t this the same treatment that David Nathan received from Jacob and crew? The telling thing is that Bill demands to be treated as a “brother” from the Moriel board as Bill still desires reconciliation with Jacob, whom he continues to point out is truly a heretic and vise versa. What most have failed to see is that none of their fruit is good.  Matthew 7:20

https://billrandles.wordpress.com/2019/10/08/to-the-moriel-board/  (5)

‘ I did not need to articulate the reason why you verbally abused, mocked and ridiculed the Menelaws. Everyone knows that it was in the midst of the debate with David Nathan. Jacob, why do we have to drag everyone thru the same slough over and over again? I actually stood with you against the errors of David Nathan and still maintain that the issues were never properly dealt with. I myself said that the Menelaws gave a “softball” interview to DN, in my public letter’

“Jacob, I hope you do get closure. Believe me when I say this has been a painful experience for me as well, and for a lot of people who have looked for sound doctrine and some kind of an example from all of us. I still care about you, and certainly do not wish you anything but a blessing. It is very hard to take the fact that you referred to me more than once as “Judas”, and even in a public teaching, But Jesus has forgiven me so much, who would I be to ever withhold forgiveness from you?”

Pro 26:25  When he speaks kindly, do not trust him, for seven abominations are in his heart

https://billrandles.wordpress.com/2018/12/30/why-there-is-still-a-question-david-nathan/  (6)

I am compelled to write this to you who feel this way and want an answer.

I have heard David’s sermons about the issue, and have heard him apologizing for having mis-spoke, and He even humbled himself (to his credit) admitting to pride in the way he had spoken. Praise God.

So what is my problem? Why haven’t I ‘forgiven him?

“I have all kinds of problems with these two issues, but don’t assume I haven’t forgiven or don’t love David Nathan because it isn’t true. I don’t want to belabor the point any more.”

“This should never have been a mere personal issue. Doctrinal issues are not primarily a matter of forgiveness … they are matters of the determination of truth… One cannot deviate from the doctrine of the blood of Jesus or from the doctrine of the person of Christ or of God and then merely be forgiven. We have to know that we know that our companions in the ministry are Orthodox. (James 3:1)”

Mar 3:28  “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and all the abusive and blasphemous things they say; but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit and His power [by attributing the miracles done by Me to Satan] never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an everlasting sin [a sin which is unforgivable in this present age as well as in the age to come]”

Here is Bill vacillating once again, within a few sentences. Bill says he hasn’t forgiven David then he tells us not to think he hasn’t forgiven David because he has.
Bill, Jacob, Haller, Amos and the rest have crippled themselves and the body of Christ by standing on the premise of doctrinal issues being something that there is no repentance or forgiveness for.

We see clearly in Mark 3:28 that the only sin not forgiven is the blaspheme of the Holy Spirit, all others are.  For Bill to state “one cannot deviate from the doctrine of the blood of Jesus or from the doctrine of the person of Christ or of God and then merely be forgiven” is a horrendous false statement.  To “merely be forgiven” as if that is not possible if one simply asked for forgiveness from God. Is God slack in His promises to us? Is God slack in His forgiveness to us?  What exactly is Bill Ranldes doctrine and view of salvation, repentance and forgiveness from God? It appears to contradict the scriptures!  There is always forgiveness which is freely given from God no matter what the topic, sin or error. To insinuate that there is no forgiveness for David Nathan is heretical in and of itself.  Yet we never see Bill repenting nor retracting any of his statements that are so full of error; this is simply false teaching. This is Bill’s fruit.

A Minute to Midnight:  https://youtu.be/NFG3kipa1Ek  (7)

33:48 “mark: And God says how bad and evil they are when He brings them back into the land.  (33:54) another way to look at it is, look at the people as a backslider. A backslider from God can go much further in sin than a normal person, because he knows more. He’s going against more light. So, as a people that once knew God can go way farther in sin than people that just never had the opportunity to know who God is. That’s how I look at this situation.  “ end quote

This again is another example of Bill’s confusing take on salvation. How does a backslider from God go further in sin than a normal person? You must assume the “normal person” is an unsaved person and the backslider is saved and backslidden. There is nothing in scripture that supports what Bill is saying here. If anything, the backslidden Christian will experience chastening and conviction from the Holy Spirit, drawing them back to God, while in their backslidden state.  Just as the shepherd left the ninety-nine and went to find the one lost sheep. The sheep didn’t turn into a goat and then back into a sheep.  It’s more than a little disturbing to think that as a believer if you back slide you will go much further into sin than an unrepentant, unregenerate person.  Bill then adds to this by saying the backslider sins more because “he’s going against more light”. This one statement alone smacks of new age Wof teaching that continues to poison the body of Christ. Bill goes on to reinforce his teaching by saying people that once knew God go farther into sin than people that never knew God. There are several layers of error in this one statement, pertaining to our common salvation and standing with God, Christ and the Holy Spirit that time does not permit here. This is confusion, this is Bill’s fruit.

47:44 mark: Bill speaking of Jacob Prasch ” This teacher went from trying to expose the idea to Jews that they always believed in a mediator between God and man and so he pointed to the Metatron. But he begins to blend in his teaching, he begins to referrer to Biblical stories with the angel of the Lord and he’s begun to say it’s the Metatron. This is frightening because the whole concept of antichrist is not against Christ, it’s a substitute for Christ. So, we have to be on guard even if people we love or people that we that we received a lot from. We have to be alert to this possibility that the spirit of antichrist is going to attack the church it’s already got the world and the Metatron is one of the many vehicles of the insertion of the substitute for Christ. “

49:23” I think of Isaiah 14, I will ascend, I will be as the most high. I will set my throne above the stars. Well the Metatron is said to have been placed on a throne right next to the throne of glory. This is quoting from the Rabbictical literature of him. It sounds like Satan.  “

51:05 { NOTE: Mr. Vimeo’s video https://vimeo.com/365755034   (7) Bill’s quote from Harpazo it page 11}

Look I just read a book about the rapture and here’s a quote: “No one can see God and live  Ex. 33:20 God would therefore appear in human form as a Christophany often known as the angle of the Lord   known as the Metatron in Judaism.  So basically, this Christian author does not say that this Metatron is a fictional character. He blends in the Metatron with the term the angle of the Lord. This is very, very dangerous and very deceptive. And this is certainly no recognized new ager, this is an evangelical Christian known for very profound deep teaching. And it’s just really quite frightening. He says: “ once again we also see the role of an angel in affecting the process just as in the rescue of Sodom and in the Pauline apostils. The use of the definite possessive article in Acts 12:11  where the lord sent forth his angle and rescued me, that’s what Peter said.  Does allow for it but does not definitely convey that the angel  was the angel of the Lord. That is the Metatron of Judaism. The man went from originally saying the Metatron, he used that teaching to say  they (Jews) did have a concept of multiplicity within a God head. But now he blends it in with the expression of the angel of the lord. And what I’m seeing here and I don’t think he would knowingly do this; is that basically the line gets blurred and this is how idolatry happens.  You start with the right God, you start using the wrong terms, and then you blur the line and then before you know it Israel is worshiping Baal and the church is looking for signs of the Metatron. This is outrageous, It’s a book on the rapture. “ end quote

Here again Bill will talk about Jacob Prasch’s erroneous teachings on the Metatron but continues to give Jacob a pass by saying “I don’t think he would knowingly do this.” He says of Jacob, that he is an evangelical Christian known for profound deep teaching and then excuses him by saying Jacob didn’t knowingly do this. This is Bill’s fruit; he twists facts and scripture to where there is no true conclusion drawn and is left standing on sinking ground, rather than a sure foundation of the truth, biblical other wise.

Tit for Tat

Tit for tat is an English saying meaning “equivalent retaliation“. It developed from “tip for tap”, first used in 1558.

It is also a highly effective strategy in game theory. An agent using this strategy will first cooperate, then subsequently replicate an opponent’s previous action. If the opponent previously was cooperative, the agent is cooperative. If not, the agent is not.

Ultimately, each action by the other member is countered with a matching response, competition with competition and cooperation with cooperation.  Bill likes the “tit for tat,” when using this strategy nothing true appears. Those using the tit for tat believes thay have won by their own rules and interpretations.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tit_for_tat (8)

Tit for tat works in three ways; as a way of describing a competition in which each is trying to prove to the other that they have done more or have it harder than the other, they have the tendency to disagree with whatever the other says so he/she can’t lord it over you and, as a way of describing the good will balance—I’ll do for you if you do for me.  In any case, it always becomes a “right fight” rather than the pursuit of truth, then a surrender to that truth.

In my opinion, It is Jacob Prasch, Bill Randles, and crew who demonstrate heretical teachings and behaviors, whose M.O. is a tit for tat right fight each invoking plausible deniability concerning their own actions and none of them has demonstrated an obedience to the clear teachings of Scripture where it deals with an erring brother, repentance, or forgiveness. Facts are embellished and the lines of truth are blurred in an attempt to win…this is their fruit!

  1. We didn’t know Bill Randles either Brian, other than we knew he was one of Jacob Prasch’s inner circle boys, so we paid him no mind other than to include Bill in with warning others about Moriel Ministries, Jacob Prasch and those that affiliated with him. Bill likes to present himself as gentle and humble, a good ole boy unlike Prasch. Which leads one to believe he is reasonable and perhaps balanced in his dealings with others and even his teachings.
That’s why, at first, we and many thought that he would be a voice of reason in all of this hateful attack on David Nathan coming from Prasch. We are thankful that Bill stepped out initially to supposedly defend the Menelaws and even appeared to try and set a meeting/debate with Jacob and David. Also we are thankful for that because through these actions of Bill his unwillingness to commit to actually take a stand against Jacob became apparent. Not only that the true intents of his heart concerning David Nathan were also revealed in private communications and then again in contradictory statements in many of Bill’s articles/messages on his blog. Since that time Bill’s vacillating on not only this subject but others is truly his mode of operation. He always defects and focuses on something irrelevant when caught and called out or just stands in complete denial, stating things like “that’s not what I meant to say.” of course with no public retractions. That why Proverbs 26 and Proverbs 10 were used to describe and identify the character and behaviors (fruit) of Bill. It’s hidden hatred, it’s cloaked in kindness, it’s false. The article is long but it could have been much longer, there are countless times where Bill speaks out of both side of his mouth including the pulpit. We have on such example in an article we did on one of his sermons. We agree Bill needs to repent and recant publicly, he is to be marked and avoided. Proverbs 26:25 Should be memorized by all and especially those of us who have come from false teachings, many false teachers wear this cloak of kindness, hiding their hatred.

Pro 26:24-25  He who hates pretends with his lips, but stores up deceit within himself.
When he speaks kindly, do not trust him, for seven abominations are in his heart.

  2. I don’t know Bill Randells but I’ve read some of his writing over the years. Biblically speaking, he is not a called pastor. Otherwise, at least what I’ve read he seemed to have some gift at teaching but I’ve also read his “double speak” with Trisha and his lack of conviction regarding Jacob Prasch the fake Jew and it leads me to believe he ought to repent for pastoring, take a hiatus from blogging. And maybe just focus on getting in line and maybe evangelize?

  3. Thank you Treena, it’s true that Bill Randles left Word of Faith and took much of the false doctrine with him and the same thing with Moriel and Jacob Prasch. Bill has incorporated much of Prasch’s error in thinking, teaching and mode of operations, he just attempts to come across as a good ole boy while Prasch is somewhat gangsta/thug.They both spew false teachings and false statements.

  4. Randles also twisted… “the Father did not create anything”.

David Nathan: “He (Jesus) is the creator. He is the one that created – but as we know from scripture, because God is a perfect unity they work as one – that Jesus did not act independently of the Father. Amen..” (12:00 mark). https://youtu.be/jGuCiRUvriM

Randles grossly misrepresented what David Nathan ACTUALLY taught.

This is what the scriptures call a malicious witness! (Exodus 23:1).

    Shared.

    God bless.
